92 Regal Cooling System Flush & Fill Procedures

I have some gray sludge on the radiator cap so I think it may be time to flush the cooling system. Can I get someone to walk me through step by step? any help would be appreciated.

Oh is it ok to use Redlines Water Wetter?

Re: 92 Regal Cooling System Flush & Fill Procedures

Umm, you can even do it with water. But this is a 2 person job. Take the drain plug out fo the radiator. Have someone stading over the fill hol, and keep umping water into the radiator. Start the vehicle up, and keep pushign water through it. Watch the drain, as it should go from a dark color and eventually come to a clear-ish color. You maybe doing this for 5-10 minutes, so dont be alrmed.then turn teh vehicle off, and let the water drain out, (another 10 or so minutes), then add your radiator fluid. start the vehicle up and add radiator fluid untill you start to see it fill over. Then wait, and when it seems to stay level, put the top on her, and take her for a short stroll. Then bring it back, let the engine cool, and see your level of radiator fluid.
Good luck, and im sorry for the long responce.,
Bill
