Question headunits.. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!!

ok i been installin sound systems for a while now.. runing wires for the subs and everything.. piece of cake.....
now the last 3 headunits i installed includin mine whenever i turn off the car everything resets... what can i b doing wrong.. someone plz help its anoying goin to ur car everyday and all your audio is reset to the crappy normal settings when u first turn it on...... PLZ HELP ME

sounds like your radio isnt hooked up to a constant voltage source.

yep, that's what you have done. There are 2 power wires for headunits, one is connected to 12v constant power, the other is connected to a 12v source that turns on with the key. You have both connected to the key switch

i got the yellow wire with the yelow andthe red with the red and both them touching since its the only real way to turn the radio on... how would i fix this little problem?

take the one that goes to const 12V (I don't know if it's red or yellow) and connect to a place (wire) that gets 12V all the time - even if the car is off.
