engine and tranny ?

first of all my check engine light is on and the code its setting is O2 running rich. Its the 2.5L TBI 4 cylinder 4 tech, and i was also wondering if anyone had any preformance tricks and my other question is, my tranny went, no third gear and only burning the fluid in second, now, would anyone have any ideas, should i put another auto in or buy a car with a standard and take what i need and sell the rest??????please help me out

What you could do is get a manual tranny for it either from a spare car or a junk yard. that would give you a little added performance, since you can control the shifts better.

oops, i should have checked for ruust, i hit a speed bump and my whole rear gave out, oops
