Unhappy got a question about a performance computer chip. NEED HELP!!??

i bought this hypertech chip for my 1986 iroc camaro and i put it in my car. now it makes my car run great and perform great at times.. then it starts acting up like putting around and then sometiimes dieing out. check engine light comes on too. but then at times it runs great. any advice on how to fix the problem of it actin up?

i cant get any response from the computer. i hook up the diagnostic tool to talk to the computer but it doesnt respond

Jumper pins A & B on the ALDL (upper right 2 pins), turn the key on and count the flashes of the check engine light.
