The strut towers are where your struts are (1g). The bar that crosses them is the bar or brace. It's hard to miss. Usually big and shiney. You probably won't have as many bars to choose from being a FF 1g.

There's argument about what the proper terminology is. Tower, bar, brace, strut, etc. There's argument about whether or not it works, too. It does. But, there's an increasing return rate for how hard the car is pushed. You'll get more out of it with tires, suspension mods, and good driving.

There's a little more info in "Sharing suspension info," toward the top of the main page. Look about halfway down into it for the section called "Strut Bars."

Re: whats a strut tower brace?

I agree with hooptie... the strut tower brace does help out.
When I had my spyder there was definately noise and flex when I would pull into driveways with more aggressive slopes to the curbs. Being that it was a convertable made it much worse than a non-convertable... as soon as I installed the brace 90% of the noise from chassis flex went away and the handling characteristics changed, but not a whole lot.
If ya have the money i'd say to go for it.....

Re: whats a strut tower brace?

yes it is a bar that connects from strut tower to strut tower...it reduces body roll
