Just thought I'd add this...

Well it's been a few months now since I've replaced my clutch. My previous clutch was a Centerforce Dual Friction. Probably the funnest clutch i ever had. But i just thought i'd post a quick review on my RAM clutch. I could never find any reviews on this clutch and i don't think it's very popular in the DSM world. But to be honest with you, it's probably the best clutch i've ever owned. When i installed it, i gave it a good break in for 500 miles. Shifting normally, no launching or slipping. Every now and then i would get it up around 5k or so in the break in period, but no beating on it. And now it's been quite a while since i put it in and this clutch has gone through hell and back, literally. I've had over 50 launches on it, tought my girlfriend, and 2 friends to drive on it, beat the living piss out of it, and slammed gears at 7500 a couple times. And to this day it has not given me one bit of trouble. No chattering, no slipping, no loss of engagement. These clutches really can take a beating. I am very surprised considering the whole assembly cost me somewhere around $170 brand new at Summit Racing. Came with clutch disc, pressure plate, t/o bearing and alignment tool. As for pedal feel. It feels like a stock clutch and engages like one too. This is what i miss about my CFDF. That thing insta-engaged and you could really feel it grab. With the CF, once the engage was felt in the pedal, you'd only have to let up another 1/4inch to have it fully engaged. The RAM engage travel is close to stock. But i think i got my $170 worth out of it and it's still going strong and feels like new. Of course if i pulled the tranny, the disc and plate may be heated up, but i'm just going to wait until it blows to get a new one. I figure with the way i drive, and after all the beatings this clutch has taken, it should last me another 6 months until it's on its last legs. I'm taking her to the track this sunday again. My friend just got an '01 mustang convertible V6 and my other friend has a 300Z n/t. I think i can get both of them. Hopefully nothing breaks

Now watch, after posting this thread, i'm gonna go out and my clutch is going to shatter or something lol.
