so long sentra...
so, i was actually going the speed limit and i had just shifted into 4th. suddenly the lady in front of me slams on her brakes. i had less than a second to react so i nailed her car. my car got completely f*cked. the hood was bent up to about a 90 degree angle. the right headlight was hanging on by the wires plugged into the bulb. and pretty much everything was smashed up against the engine. so my sentra is dead. i am broke and need a car... i'm obviously now hesitant to buy another sentra/nissan for that matter. and suggestions?

dang, what's your price range? and what kinda car are you looking for? But most of all, why are you hesitant to buy another nissan now? Just because you buy another one doesn't mean you'll get into another wreck with it.

buy a 240
 no seriously i would get another sentra go buy a b13 SE-R and swap the calipers, rotors, pads for a 1993 NX2000 with ABS. cheap big brakes

its a small car. anything could get smashed
sentras are about average as far as crash durability. they arent thaaaat bad

Yeah, sounds like you've never been in a wreck before. Cars made in the 1980's and up are supposed to smash easily to absorb as much of the crash energy as they can to keep you alive. Car companies care very little about the survival of the car after a crash, they're just trying to save you.
