door latch

has anyone replaced the door latch on their truck? i have a 1995 gmc sierra and the latch is shot is there a tric to replacieng it without removing the window crank arms? because they are a pain to get back in.

Are you talking outside handle or the latch part which is inside the door which latches on the striker bolt? Anyway you can change either one without taking out the window crank arms.

i am talking about the latch thats inside the door that hots the striker bolt because the plate that hold the window crank is bolted to the window crank
