Moaning Noise in 2005 Odyssey

I just bought a brand new 2005 Odyssey with Leather, Nav and DVD. From time to time I hear a strange moaning kind of noise from behind the dash board -- like a belt slipping. It occurs at low speed, when I am stopping or starting and, this is the most intriguing aspect, sometimes just after I have stopped and the car is stationary. Has any one else experienced this and if so has he/she diagnosed it? Thanks for any tips.

My new Odyssey is also making moaning noises although mostly when we turn it off after running the air conditioning. American Honda suggested replacing the freon and this did NOT fix the problem so it is still in the shop. Not sure what to do but I do not want to drive a car that sounds like it is possessed. Did you manage to diagnose your issue?

OMG...I am having the exact same problem. I bought my EX-L RES 2 days ago and I just noticed today that there is a continous deep vibration noise (moaning) coming from behind the dash board.
I hear it when it is at parked position with the engine running.
Also, when I start to drive out slowly.
WHAT IS THIS NOISE? WHERE IS IT COMING FROM?
WHAT CAN I DO?

UPDATE: after driving it around the dealer thinks it is a valve that is part of the AC systems vacuum assist. They are going to order the part this week and hopefully that will fix the problem.

It mostly fixed the problem. According to the work description from the dealer they "switched brake vacuum hose with new unit, did not cure. Tech line said to run car 4 hours with heat on full while evacuating, recharged and noise has not returned". The noise is mostly gone although there are occasional squeaks here and there.
