Unhappy Something gotta change here

Hey guys, Im never usually on here, but I need to vent a little...Im an average kid in univ, just doing my thing...

heres my problem

My wed/thurs/fri nights (drinking partying nights) have become absolutely no fun, and its becoming not worth my time to even go out and be social. after studying all week and just being stressed, Im goin out with my 2 good friends and having absolutely no fun at all... friend #1 never wants to be social, never wants to meet anybody new, just wants to go back home and get really stoned... friend #2 just wants to look around for anybody else he knows so he can shake their hand and show everybody hes really popular...so this is basically what happens for about 4 hours until we leave...I HATE IT

all I wanna do is be social, meet new ppl whether its guys and talking about the b-ball game, or girls in just meeting somebody new, getting a digit and making a new friend or a relationship...I also wanna get on the dance floor and just have some fun, and listen to music I like...but these guys DO NOT want to do that at all, and would never even consider it

I don't know what to do
Any suggestions? thanks alot anybody 4 listening

Hey, when the one guy leaves to get stoned and the other one is shaking hands, go dance. Be yourself, you don't have to follow them around.

Re: Something gotta change here

Why do you need another extra digit? Then you'll be a freak. You've (presumably) already got 20: 5 on each hand and then some toes.

Besides, if you reanny want A digit, just write one son! Then you don't hvae to deal with telling people it can't be more than one number because it's only one digit and no, they can't use 11, etc.

Funny how I just completely bypass everything he says and fixate on being a complete smartass instead.

Smartass. I thought that extra digit installation was in the future.

Sounds like you could use a few more friends (that doesn't mean losing these) that like the to do the same things as you.

Yup, those don't have to be your ONLY friends.

Who says you have to go out with your friends? A change is there, if you want it. Only you can meet new people, nodboy should be doing it for you.

Get out there, go by yourself, take the chance. Join some clubs of interest, or just stroll campus and say hi to people. Get a grip on it, you letting yourself get dragged down.

hahah you guys must think im the biggest loser...Im actually friends with almost everybody in my program of my year that goes out...and for my freshman year I was going out with different ppl on different days and being social and doing all the stuff I love doing

but these specific guys im going out with now are my friends from high school and (theres actually 4 of them out here but 2 are back home for the summer) when I was meeting new ppl in my freshman year, they werent doing what I was doing, they were just smoking and watching movies... so they eventually got all pissy at me saying I wasn't close with them nemore and im ditching them...but I personally dont see life that way...I don't see life as a set clique that I HAVE to be with

but again ive been friends with these guys for going on 7 years, and out entire group of high school friends (5 guys 4 girls) are so close....

but thanks for all your advice so far

Times change and you lose touch with your friends. Some of them anyways. My group of friends and I are somewhat of an exception. A lot of us have actually gotten closer since we graduated high school. Our group has changed, where new people have been brought it, but its as though we've known them just as long. All of our parents are simply amazed that we've been able to hang on to our friendships the way we have.

So what are you doing during those 4 hours? Pissing and whining? Why not use those 4 hours to meet someone? Maybe if your friends see you talking to some hot chick they'll get a clue and join in.

You're going out with both of them? At once? Don't they get jealous of each other or are you just hiding one from the other and hoping you can get away with it? Or were you just looking for a little guy on guy on guy action?

ALRIGHT! I'm done. Sorry. I was just kidding. I gotta stop being a smartass.

Re: Something gotta change here

Man, dude, don't U understand????????? They are stuck in their tiny little rut [whether their fault or not, it no matter].

U have gone to college, experiencing a whole new way, world, people, ideas, methods, places. They haven't. The bridge has been built, and widened and lengthened, if you can't understand that, I truly feel sorry for not you, but the dudes who you surpassed.
