Hi, my cutlass has a major problem with the front in vibrating. It is getting worse [not to mention it has 280,000miles on it] But is this serious? I have had 3 mechanics look at it, did the aligment, balance of wheels, changes the tire rods [you know what I mean] and yet this vibration will not go away. I drive interstate mostly [75mph] and roads and not great so it feels worse than I think it is. Is there anything else I need to have looked at. Oh, I guess I need to mention that in Feb I had an aligment done and 4,000 miles later one tire was loose to where only 1 lug nut was holding it on. Talk about livid!!!! Did this cause the problem that I have NOW? HELP, very distressed over this.

How long has it been since you've had your suspension/shocks looked at?

well, just to be sure, push down on the front end and if it only comes back up once, you're all set. I'll try and look into it a bit and see what I can find. What kind of vibration is this? try do describe it a little more please

So I went to my tire place and asked them to balance the front. Sure enough that corrected the major problem. The front driver tire had a weight not completely secure. Needless to say it is very sad that when a WOMAN takes a car to a garge it is never serviced in the same way as when a man takes it in. It's a shame. I did tell the mechanic to check the suspension and he said it was fine. Thank you for your help. |
