stereo makes a thumping sound when turned off/on and switched from streo to cd

ok i checked all my wiring ran new main and ground to my aftermarket pioneer deck new speaker wires all the way around no subs, and it makes a popping sound when i turn it off and on and i dont know why changed out speakers the only thing i can think of its my deck any help would be great!!

Are you using any aftermarket amplifiers to drive the speakers?

sounds like a ground problem with the deck ...... disconnect the ground from the harness and run it from the deck straight to a bolt that goes into metal.
