Re: mr2 headers

The headers are for a 5S? Well if it's both for the same motor, check which way the pipes bend, do they bend down and around the motor like in the FWD setup? If you are going to have to make any mods to the headers, it's probably not worth the time and money, better to just pick up another one.

Re: mr2 headers

i wish i could find celica headeers but there all like 400-500 dollars im not [payin that for headers. no one cares about 5th gen. 5sfe they make headers for the 5th gen st why would they make headers for weaker engines and not for the more powerfiul ones. plus i live in tennessee no one gives a shit about smog out here in the boonies.

Re: mr2 headers

haha bet my "weak" 4afe would estroy your 5sfe

not being an ass im just saying... and they amke headers for 4AFE motors, not necessarily for celica st's becasue when they make a 4afe header it will fit, celica st, corlla 90-92, paseo, and terecel...they kill 4 birds w one stone

Re: mr2 headers

Not to many people know that the 4afe engine is a tuned down race engine. From what i hear, the engine can really pull once the right parts are added

Re: mr2 headers

actauly a gt/gts isnt very much faster than an St stock, i raced a gts when i only had intake and he had i/h/e and he only took me by about a full car

and skater do u have any proff htat a 4afe was a tune ddown race engine? the only really fast afe motor ive seen was a turboed 7afe that was put in a rally corolla (not the wrc crolla that had a st-205 3s-gte)

Re: mr2 headers

yeah you can read about it here -= http://www.toyotacelicaonline.com/historyc.htm =-

Also if you look around you can find stories about people who have allowed the engine to breath and get the power that it should truely have.

What 91Celica means is that it's not tuned down, you need to replace the F head. A 4AGE is tuned down.

get the celica headers the mr2 won't fit the engine is mounted in the rear and the exhuast system on those are totally different in design

the 4ag was the tuned down race engine, the 5valve silvertops can be tuned to rev up to 12k, i've heard of three 4ag's that rev up to 12k range on other forums

you want an extremely powerful race engine i know where to obtain a 503E, but the price is insane, from the information that i gathered those engines can run to like 80psi boost, and at 35psi they put down ~630awhp, GT-4/alltrac rodmillen, plus it was designed as an endurance race motor meaning that they were made to last and last with more stress than they would ever see in a street car

oh ya and, my friends paseo runs high 13s, custom rigged up supercharger

Re: mr2 headers

80 psi of boost? i know ur just making a figure of speech but ...where can i get one? lol

but yea thres alot of high revving 4age out there, the highest revving one ive ever heard about was one with a 4agze block, 4age blacktop 20v head, and pretty much build to the moon that revvd to 14 grand+ (i think 14500 but im not sure), it was put into a 91 mr2, it was stroked down to 1.5 liters and broke the landspeed record for a car under 1.5 liters at 216 mph...

and layzienboy i think weve established the mr2 headers wont work if he dosent know by now let him buy em and ifnd out they wont work
