Question Usual Tranny Problem

Ok, I had some problems with my transmission previously, but they were mild and only happened when it was very cold. I've been trouble free since January, that is until last night. As before, the car would not go into gear unless the revs were matched. However, last night, in addition to that, if the car was in gear, and I just held the clutch in at a stop light, the clutch was still partially engaged, because sometimes the revs would drop to 500 RPM and lower if I was also holding the brake in as well, plus if I didn't hold the brake in, the car would creap forward, like it would do if you started to let the clutch out. So basically, the clutch isn't disengaging all the way. My question is this: Is this the typical problem that we've all heard about where it could be anythiing from a small $10 bearing or bushing all the way up to the slave or master cylinder? Or have I given enough information to narrow it down a bit?
