smoking abit

just have a question. I think I overfilled abit, as the oil is reading alittle over "full" on the dipstick, would that cause my car to smoke?

Re: smoking abit

depends on how much overfilled, anything more then about 1/2 or 1 quart and you risk engine more importently then smoke(as the crankshaft turns it will hit the high oil level and toss it all around, it will then become airiated(sp?) and air is not a very good lubracint) if the smoke is oil it will be white with a gray/blue tint to it. if the smoke is black, it is unburnt fuel. if the smoke is pure white then it is water/coolant(or in very rare cases, running lean, but thats more commonly seen on desiel engines)
