Question swap

okay i have a crx dx and im trying to swap in the d16a6.. problem is i dont have an engine hoist... is there another way of going to pull the motor out?? and putting the new one in?? and the wiring can i just do dx to si conversion... just like the dpfi to mpfi swap conversion harness?? need help if you can i would really appreciate it... please dont burn on me...

If you have 2.25 ton or bigger jacks, you might can raise your car up, unbolt the engine and tranny, remove the axles and drop it down, and put new engine in the same way... or you can ghetto rig a chain around the engine over a thick tree branch and pull it that way (not recommended)...

As for MPFI, as long as you can figure out what wires go where and what needs to be de-pinned and re-pinned to the ECU, you can do it. If you suck at wiring, then you can pay for some sort of conversion but you still have to repin it at the ECU. Remember to use a PM6 ecu and distributor or it won't work. GL

Bro, if u currently have no job, dont pull that engine out! Because I can almost gaurantee you, you will have to buy a lot of 'little things' for any swap, and those little things add up...

But I did hear that some people take off the lower cross member and take the engine in and out that way... Downside is u have to jack the car up pretty damn high even with the cross member out of the way...
