91-93 accord
hey guys. ive been roaming this site for quite a while and have a question. i am thinking of purchasing an accord somewhere in these yrs and was wondering if you could tell me things that i might need to replace or fix once i buy one. i know that these engines were built to run 300k+ but some insight as i am looking would be nice. im in nc and within 200 miles all that are for sale have 130k+ so i figure that things are starting to need replacing. thanks for the help

teh usual for any used car purchase. It helps if you can ask the previous owner some questions about maintanence.Heres what i do anytime I buy a used car: change the oil, change the timing belt and waterpump along with the cam and crank shaft seals, check the spark plugs, and change them if neccesary, change the air and gas filter, check the belts and hoses, look for cracks on the treads of the belts( signs of wear), check your brakes, and axles, and thats it. It sounds like a lot but its all related to maintance, which for a car that has 130k or more, you should definitly do.

yeah that's what i figured. i just didn't know if there was some "unknown" part that people don't know about this generation or if they in fact were legit
thanks for the input |

dam handles
The dam inside door handles. they break like crazy. I've replaced mine and so far so good.... seems that its only the front 2 (more use i guess) that do it. If theyre cracked, id replace em. Honda = 30$
with 130K mi you may want to look at the master cylinder also. I've got only 70 K mi and i just had the 100K mi tune up done, its not just mileage but age, the car wasnt driven much so belts were gettin frail. Ive put like 10K since ive had it (<1 yr)
