sqeeky brakes...
I just recently changes the pads on my 93 maro and they are still sqeeky.. i just bought some anti-sqeek spray, gunna try that. Also when I brake hard (well harder than normal) my rotors sound like they are vibrating.. any one know why? (Sounds like they arent supposed to do that)

Re: sqeeky brakes...
How long ago did you change them, you say you changed them recently but then you say they are still sqeeking meaning they have been doing it for a while... They will usually do that for a day or two depending on how much you use them but it should go away after a while. About the vibrations go back and check all the shit you took apart and make sure everything is torqued right.

Re: sqeeky brakes...
when you did your brakes, did you rough them up first? take a peice of sand paper and lightly scuff the rotor surface and the pad and put it all together. Also something most people dont do is give the brakes a propor break in time of about 100 miles. if you put brand new parts on, and then go out and use them heavily, the pads will "glaze". but the vibration you are talkin about sounds like warped rotors to me.

Re: sqeeky brakes...
most ppl don't recommend changing pads and not either replacing, or having the rotors turned.

Re: sqeeky brakes...
you need to buy acdelco pads, cheap pads will always squeak no matter what you put on them, and the vibration means you need your rotors turned or replaced.
