Well there are two engines, the GA16DE, and the SR20DE. Both are very reliable engines, and both handle boost well, though the SR20DE is better at that. In terms of speed, the GA16DE is the rough equivalent to a golf cart (sorry guys, don't mean to hate, I have one too), it a 1.6L, and puts out 115HP, and I think 108TQ. The SR20DE puts out 140 HP, and correct me if I am wrong, 145TQ. It is pretty fast in such a light car, and when turboed becomes a little powerhouse. In my GA I get about 35-40MPG with a 50/50 mix of city and highway driving. The SR gets between 25-30 with a mix of driving, at least my friends does, but he rides that thing hard, so others might get better. Oh, the SE-R comes with the SR20DE, and the rest of the models come with the GA16DE.

If a person drove the SE-R for just cruising (standard) and not heavy like your friend, how much mpg would you be getting?
