Changing fuel pump
My fuel pump went on my 97 blazer and I was wondering if anyone knows how to do it and if it is hard?

Re: Changing fuel pump
Not really difficult... Drop the gas tank a few inches , disconnect the fuel, return, vent lines, wiring. Drop the gas tank all the way... Replace fuel pump, install in reverse.

A lot of grunt work (6 hours on my first try), but quite simple to do. Drain the tank first or you may snap the lines off the pump housing. Good Luck, Mike |

Re: Changing fuel pump
When we did mine on my 98 4x4, getting the tank in and out was the hard part. All the plates and straps were very hard to get out of the way, and we had to twist the tank while putting it in like a combination lock (left, right, up, left again, etc.) to get it back in. Replacing the pump is a breeze once you get the tank out, though.
