Okay, here you go, and with pictures if I can figure it out.

The reciever is located between the windshield and the dash pad, under the plastic molding that is about four inches wide. It's basically located between the steering wheel and the radio visually, if you get the picture. Actually it's just to the left of the little plastic bulb located ON the plastic molding.

First remove the fuse panel cover on the driver's side.

Then remove the molding that runs up the windshield pillar. Start at the rear of the door opening and just start pulling it loose, it's only a series of clips.

Start pulling up the molding between the windshield and the dash pad, starting at the driver's side. It just snaps in also. You won't have to remove it completely, just past the right of center. If you look just to the left of the louvers in the molding, you can spot the reciever.

Just reach in pop it out and unplug it, plug in the new one and go back together in reverse order. Literally a 15 minute job.

By the way the GM part# is 15042969 and my cost was $65.69.

remote control door lock reciever

Appreciate the info but the real problem turned out to be the BCM . Dealer shotgunnned the rcdlr diagnosis.
