AC Compressor

I need a new ac compressor and have been looking at them on ebay. There are several different brands on ebay, all for about the same price, and I'm wondering if anyone knows much about the brands Delphi and Sanden. The Delphi looks like my oem compressor, but the Sanden looks a little different. For a new compressor, drier, orifice tube, oil etc etc. either brand runs about $270 shipped. Seems like a good deal to me, but I dont want to be buying a piece of junk. If anyone has any experience with either of these brands and can attest to their quality, let me know. Also, if anyone knows of a better place to get ac parts let me know as well. Thanks

Re: AC Compressor

Hi,
please make sure of the fit, which depends on which engine/compressor combination you have now.
Get an exact replacement for that. Do not just go by looks.
The 2001 service manual mentions only Harrison and Denso compressors.
Engines are:
L35=4.3 V6
LM7=5.3 V8
LQ4=6.0 V8
L18=8.1 V8
LB7=6.6 V8 Diesel
Separate removal/installation procedures are provided for the following engine/compressor combinations:
L18 with Harrison
L35 with Harrison
LR4, LM7, LQ4, L18 with Denso
LB7 with Harrison
LB7 with Denso
Take care, Eggert
