350z tranny on 300zx is it possible?

i was just curious about that six speed tranny of the 350z so i will like to know if it is possible to mount one of those on a 300zx? I know the price is too expesive to bout the tranny but this is just a curiosity of mine. You never know when maybe a total 350z will be hanging aroung the junk yard. just thinking about that what about the engine will that fit?

well, the 350Z's transmission would be possible to mount to a VG block but not without extensive modification. custom adapter plate machined, custom driveshaft, custom shifter bar, custom rear support...it probably has been done but i havent seen any valuable info on it.

your speedometer will never be correct again, not that this is a big deal.

bottom line, not worth it in my opinion...for an extra gear and a weaker transmission.

as for the VQ35DE into a Z32...im sure it can and will and probably has been done. i think you will actually see that this will become a popular swap due to the shortage of Z32 motors and parts. also the VQ is going to get cheaper and more popular around junk yards as the years go by...not to mention the fact that the VQ's aftermarket is going to continue to grow much larger.
