Code PO440 <Vacuum prob. + hesitation>

The computer pulled code PO440 of my truck and the fella said it had something to do with vacuum problems in the truck. Anyone had this code before? What exactly is it?

I've also been experiencing some of the same problems I've heard on other threads. After first starting my silverado, it hesitates before I can get any power. Is that a Mass Air Flow problem? If so, how do I go about fixing it?

with the code being for the evaporative system , it could be a simple as a loose or bad fuel cap. sart there its cheap.

I'll type out a paragraph of what it says...

1. The fuel evaporative emissions control (evap) ststen absorbs fuel vapors from the fuel tank and during engine operation ,releases them into the engine intake system where they mix with the incoming air/fuel mixture.the main components of the evaporative emissions system are the canister(filled with activated charcoal to absorb fuel vapors),the purge valve, the vent valve, the fuel tank pressure sensor, the fuel tank and the avpor, and purge lines.
