Shifting points? Top Speed?

Hey what do you guys feel are the best shift points for the US lancer when your try to get the greatest amount of acceleration and overall top speed? Also what is the top speed that you've reached with your car? I can only get my car up to about 115, why can't I get it topped out?

Re: Shifting points? Top Speed?

Just watching our speedometers I got 200kph (120mph) on my ES and we did 225kph (139mph). So far I've been pretty impressed with both cars overall. As for shifting points... I usually shift as soon as it hits redline so i'm in the power band when i get into the next gear. For the Ralliart I hear the max power is between 4500-5500 or something like that? It's probably best to go close to redline and shift.. it's usually like that in any car.

Re: Shifting points? Top Speed?

Thanks a lot, I've got a 2004 Ralliart and I was wondering when max power is made. I usually just run it to redline then shift.
