My BigBen(89 Dodge Caravan) is dying.......Please help me.

My girlfriend and I just purchased a 89 Dodge Caravan. The car was working pretty smooth with its 2.5 litter engine. However, the problem happened last week. When we tried to start the engine, the cheak engine singnal lamp turned on, and we were unable to start it. After we accidently pressed the break, the engine suddently started. We thought the engine problem was solved.
Until this afternoon, the same problem happened again, and it was getting worse. The engine didnt work anymore.

Go to the link below. It explains how to get and interprate the computer fault codes which is lighting up the Check Engine Light.

http://www.allpar.com/fix/80s-codes.html

Chysler computer codes (80-95 Chysler's):

To obtain codes: Turning the ignition key on-off-on three times (don't start the engine) will put the
computer into diagnostic mode. Watch the "check engine" light. Count the flashes for each digit which is followed by a pause between digits. Two digits to a code with the end of the list being code 55.
