PT Turbo vs. Subaru WRX

My friend has a stock 2005 WRX automatic and I have a manual Pt Cruiser Turbo. The WRX puches out about 227 hp and 217 lbs of torque through four wheels. My PT pushes 220 hp and 245 lbs of torque throught the front wheels. The cars weight roughly the same. Who would win in the 1/4 mile. I accept defeat in the areas of coolness and all that, although he is probably the biggest poser ever driving an auto WRX.

I vote PT, but I'm afraid the WRX would get the power down better with AWD.

I've heard the auto WRX can outlaunch the manual if you powerbreak. The WRX is only 1-2 tenths of a second slower due to this. He might be able to beat you. Since it is an auto, he can't mess up. Go from a roll if you want a chance.

Hey guys...I'm the "poser friend" with an auto WRX. Well taylor, i was wondering where you were getting all these viewpoints on my car, I guess surfin around the net answered that question for me. I dunno man, even this guy above me says I would take you...but I won't say a word about it. All I would need to do (which is really lame) to seal the deal is get that K and N high performance air filter and there would be no arguement at all. (or a similar mod as simple as that) P.S. Why do you hate autos so much? i don't get it. o and the WRX is winning your little poll...in a pt forum!

You seem to be pretty happy you're "Winning" this "Poll". Um, this is for you buddy And we dont hate autos, its just the people who drive autos who try to race are Posers.
