1993 gt or 2000 lightning?
i have been considering these 2 types of vehicles. i want a newer vehicle but ive always like the mustangs 87-93. im not sure what to get. i like them. both, i know the lighning will be more expensive, but its newer and less miles. can someone tell me anything about what vehicle is a better choice? and i think the lightning has 380 horse, with the supercharger, and the stock gt has 225? i have read a few reviews and it seems that the gt will run 15 in the 1/4 mile and the lightning will run 14. please help. and if anyone knows of a site with specs and facts about the lightning. thanks

wow, awsome i see this post, i just got home, and on my way here, i raced a lightning, i have a 2003gt and the lightning smoked me soooo bad it wasnt even funny
 im not even shure if it was a lightning cuz it was blue, i dont know if lightnings were made in that color, baybe he just moded the hell out of a regular pick up and put the bodykit on.

The lightning would be my first choice just because I love trucks (normally lifted 4X4s) and it comes in a nice sporty package. Its got the power and the looks for me!

The Fox is my choice personally, with these choices you really can't go wrong. The lightening is just bad ass.

Lets break this down shall we?
1993 5.0 GT against 2000 Lightning N/A 5.0L engine against S/C 5.4L engine 225 hp 300 ft-lbs against 360 hp 410 ft-lbs high 14s to low 15s against low 14s 2.73 rear end against 3.55 rear end super huge aftermarket against so-so aftermarket stick shift or auto tranny against auto tranny so-so gas milage against not to good gas milage This is a hard one to make here. The Lightning already comes with a S/C and runs pretty good. If you go and slap a S/C and put some 3.55s in the 5.0 though you'll be seeing 13s easy. I'm going with the 5.0 here. The Lighting is good but I use trucks for working, not performance usage. The 5.0s aftermarket is 2nd to none and it responds very well to some basic bolt ons. If things were evened out and the 5.0 had a S/C and lower gears it'd run with or away from that Lightning. Also, the Lightning is only avaliable in an automatic transmission and I'd want a standard.

well the choice is yours but I would go for the mustang. just because I like the models and because i have 2 of them.

i am passionate about my 5.0, but i think i would give it up for a lighting.

I'd take the lightning....... Fox's are a dime a dozen, not so with Lightnings. Plus if you ever need to carry something, or tow a boat or something, the lightning can do it

id go with the fox. expecialy if u plan on moding it cuz a mustang is a LOT lighter.

im leaning towards the lightning myself after ive thought about it some. those things can get well over 400hp easily. its already got 3.55s too. plus its much more convienent because you can haul shit around easier
