Replace passenger brake light for '95 Camry

Can anyone please tell me how to replace the rear brake light for a '95 Camry? I assume you can simply pull it out from the inside of the trunk but when I pull it doesn't seem to want to come out. Do I just pull out the electrical cords feeding into the brake light area? I don't see any way to remove cover. Sorry, I would look in the manual if I had it. Thank you.

If my memory serves me right, the 3rd brake light has a cover over it that you can just gently pry off and get to the bulb pretty easily.

Are you referring to the brake light in the back window? I need to replace the one above the bumper. Or does this apply to the one above the bumper?

Thanks.

Actually, I was talking about the 3rd brake light. If you want to do the regular brake lights, open the trunk and pull back the carpet directly behind the brake lights. You should be able to access the bulbs from there.

There are a couple of nuts (inboard part of the light assembly) under the inner trunk cover that secure the taillight assembly to the body. Once those are removed, the assembly can be loosened by pushing it outboard to the side. Once the assembly is off, then you can get to the bulbs by removing the sockets with a twist.
