Two more pics in the 'puter

Found two more car/airplane pictures, done about the same but by this time I had an Iwata HPC and a good compressor. These turned out better I think.

The Vega looks great... good artworks!

What cars are that?

Id say it's a Ford Thunderbird and the second one... umm... no idea... a Cadillac?

I'm not an American so I don't know that much about your car culture...

Re: Re: Two more pics in the 'puter

Sorry, forgot the info on the hardware...
The first one is a T-Bird with a Beech Staggerwing and the second is a '53 Cadillac Eldorado with a Lockheed Constellation. Thanks for the encouragement.

Excellent airbrush work. Are you using Frisket now? Have you ever tried "Press & Seal" food wrap? Works pretty good for me so far.

Those are great. Like your color combinations.

Clearhooter--interesting idea about the food wrap.
The "frisket" product I have tends to leave some adhesive behind on my paper and bristol.

Re: Two more pics in the 'puter

The main thing about the Press & Seal is to make sure you get all the little bumps (don't know how else to explain it) to smooth out. That's what seals it. There's no residue unless you leave it on for a really long time. Works on metal as well as cold press. I don't use hot press so I can't vouch for that. It cuts very well. And its cheap. I used to use clear shelf paper after laying it on a chalk covered black board. Never was real happy with the consistancy of that. Some places stuck well. Others too well. Other places not at all. I used the Press & Seal for the airbrush on my "B-17 Van."

Man, that sounds like the way to go, I've used tracing paper with spray adhesive, shelf paper, acetate and frisk film, both agressive and less aggresive tack. Never liked any of them so the next time I go to WalMart I will definaltely get some Press & Seal. And I like to do murals on cars and vans so that might be the ticket too! Thanks a million!

Re: Two more pics in the 'puter

Wish I had stock in Glad. I believe I could double their sales. I can't believe no more artist haven't thought of this. When I saw the commercial the first time sealing food was the last thing I thought of. It does work for that as well. I wouldn't throw out my blue painter's tape or my masks but its pretty good stuff. And a lot cheaper than frisket.

AGAIN...I only use cold press. Hot press has more of a grain. If you use it on hot press let us know the results.
