Speedometer
Does Anyone Know What Year The Cherokee Switched From A Mech. To An Electric Speedometer. My 96 Has The Stock Cluster W/o Tach And I Want To Go To A Junkyard And Get A Cluster With A Tach And Gauges As If They Are Both Electric It Should Hook Right Up, So What Year Did They Swtich. Also is this even possible to do, since it came without the tach and oil pressure/temp/volt gauge is the wiring for those gauges going to be in the harness?? its a 96 cherokee classic, thanks

Re: Speedometer
Not sure about the wiring, but I know that you will have to change the sending units to the guage type. vs. light. Best way is to explore the options by looking at an XJ with guages and take note of the wiring under the hood, wire colors, types of connectors to sending unit.
