Question Interior Color Change HELP!!!!!!

I was wondering If I could possible remove all my carpeting and just get them sprayed or died in straight black....since it is a carpet material, can't I just dye it black instead of buying all new carpeting. I already have grey plastic that I just put in the car...so all I need is to get the capet color changed from red to black/grey.

Is this possible? a cheap solution?

Yeah it's possible, but you should be able to find carpet pretty cheap anyway. Check some F-body sites, one of them should have it on sale.

Re: Interior Color Change HELP!!!!!!

might be a dumb suggestion but why not just go to a carpet warehouse and buy a big ass square and use the existing as a template. would be dirt cheap and i have a buddy who did it in his truck cause he didnt have carpet and it turned out great but he didnt have as many contours so may not work as well i dunno

MTCS,

How much of the interior did you replace? And how much has it cost you so far?

I'm trying to resurrect an 87' IROC and I was curious how much it might cost to gut the whole interior and replace everything.

Thanks!
