Air Conditioner

I have a 90 Accord EX Coupe....does anyone know what A/C Freon this car requires? Also, it is easy to recharge???

You should have the old style, which is R12. You can check the ports. If it's R12, the ports should have threads. If it's been converted to R134a, the ports should be quick connect type.

I don't think you can buy R12. Only certified tech can get it. And it's very expensive. I would suggest you to buy a conversion kit and convert yours to R134a.

Where are the ports on the A/C lines....there a website that shows you how to convert?
Arethe kits easy to convert?

Just follow the AC pipe, you will see 2 ports. 1 is high pressure, 1 is low pressure. It's recommended that you replace the receiver/dryer also. With the kit, you still need a shop to vacuum the system before you charge the r134a.
