1985 Or 1985 1/2?

Can someone please tell me how I can tell which 944 I have? Do I have a 1985 or 1985 1/2?

do you have an oval dash like in a 944 s2 or 944 turbo? if so, it's an 85.5+ car. if it's a square dash like in a 924, then it's a pre 85.5 car.

I think they went with the aluminum suspension arm with the later model. The ball join cannot be replaced without replacing the whole arm on this later model.

Its easy to tell, the 85.5 + models had a much more modern interior with improved air ducts and a much larger fuel tank to 21 gallons..
