'96 T&C engine light... 4 beeps

The other day my T&C sounded 4 beeps and the engine light went out. The light was on because I have a skipping ... misfireing. Can anyone tell me what the 4 beeps signifies?

That shouldn't happen unless you have a major problem or the engine is overheating . This means get it to a dealer pronto or you may be paying for a new engine . This is a major alarm . It is warning you that you have a potential major problem and you probably shouldn't drive it .

wonderful.... now I have heard of cars going into limp mode... and the computer shutting it down to driving only a certain MPH... but who would know that when you hear 4 bells that you need to go to a dealer ASAP!

The car is running fine. engine light is back on... I will act on finding out what the h*ll is happening.

Thanks!
