how do I get code for problem triggering MIL
2000 grand prix with 3100. Just recently the MIL occasionally comes on. today car was not running well, especially when shifting. Are you able to jump two of the terminals on the obd port and cause the light to blink a code or do you have to have it done with an expensive code reader? I saw on this forum that autozone does this. What is their policy? do they charge? Does Advance do this also?

Quote:
Odb-ii requires a scanner/code reader. If the SES/CEL mil is on Autozone and other similar stores will do it for free. The policies vary between stores nationwide so you should check with them.
