when should i feel the Vtec kick in?
I bought a 2000 accord LX 3.0L VTEC w/ 72545 miles on it. Rides really nice and fast I keep sppeding so much I don't realize how fast I going til I start passing cars to quickly. I was wondering when or what evidence tell me that the VTEC kicks in while driving? Is there an aftermarket gauge that indicate when it is on? I have done some research on the different types of VTEC engines, but no explanation on when It kicks in. I was wondering if anyone knows any links to this information. Thank You

Re: when should i feel the Vtec kick in?
the secondary valves open at 5,900 RPM and the vtec turns on at 4,500. And if you have and intake, you will the secondary valves open and it will sound like and F1 race car, its awsome
