Well not a 350, but I've got a 305, and about a 70L tank, whick on the highway gets me about 470 - 500 km in mostly city driving, and if I recall in excess of 600 km on the highway with the cruise set at 120 kph

I get about 17-18 mpg with my 305. It has plenty of power. 5.0L engines are the way to go for a mix of power and fuel economy. Also if you want, a few upgrades or performance mods will boost the output of you 4.3.

Re: v6... vs....v8

I don't believe this either. My 350's will smoke a 4.3L. Especailly if they are stock 4.3L. A budy of mine has one with a cold air induction, and a tune and I can still smoke him with my Vortec 350. No lie!

Re: v6... vs....v8

93 350 5-speed with estimated 280-290 horsepower. Best mileage was 21 with a fourwheeler in the back doing 80-85 mph. I hate to say it, but it's true. Technology is great.
