saturn SC2 engine swap...?

Recently I blew my 93 Saturn SC2 1.9L twin cam. I am hoping to find a used engine with low miles that can be swapped. I heard that a Saturn L series is a 220 hp 6 cylinder engine, could I fit it into my saturn? Would I have to swap the transmission? Is there any other GM engine that is more powerful than a 1.9L 4 cylinder that could somewhat easily be swapped? If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it. Or if anyone knows where I can find an engine cheap that would be great too. thanks.

Re: saturn SC2 engine swap...?

the only direct swap for your model is the 93 or 94 DOHC 1.9L, other years DOHC can be swapped in for some work(mainly swaping PCMs). or a SOHC 1.9L can be swap in for less power but more economy(again will a little bit of work)

no other engines will swap in without EXTENCIVE custom work.
