Re: JDM Type S conversion
Their was no Type S 4th gen. The best was the VTEC model.

Re: JDM Type S conversion
True, but you could get some type S engine components (pistons, cams) if you really wanted to. The type S engine only had 20 more hp, and for the money, I've been told the parts aren't really worth it.

Re: JDM Type S conversion
Yeah, I don't think they would be worth it either. Unless your going for a JDM conversion, it would make more sense to get aftermarket pistons. Oh, and also, he asked about a type-S BODY conversion, which is why I said no such thing.

Re: JDM Type S conversion
Here's a 5th gen type-s front spoiler lip. For 4th gens I've seen something similar by Mugen but it's impossible to find.

There was actually also a full Mugen front end for the 4th gen. The bumper was rounded off with an open mouth, the headlights are like the JDM black-housing except bubbled out and the "inside fins" are different. And as Gohan Ryu said, Mugen 4th gen stuff is impossible to find. (And quite ugly, I might add.)

/QUOTE] maybe it's in the eye of the beholder - but i don't find anything ugly about the mugen front end. (see link) http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=731119 the jdm's had 1 pc blackhousing (and silver housing) headlights - the mugen bumper doesn't change the headlights - it just has a lens cover that wraps flush with the leading edge of the bumper. if you look closely at the pics in the link provided you'll see where the tabs from the lens cover insert into the front bumper. yah - it's not ugly.. atleast not to me (: |

Re: JDM Type S conversion
Damn, thanks for that link! That Prelude is sexy as hell. I really like the Mugen front end. I defanetly don't think it's ugly either.

Re: JDM Type S conversion
I think it is too, but the question still remains, where can we find Mugen stuff?
