I got a kitten... s. Kittens. piss off it's monday.

So the animal shelter is about two miles away from me. I hated it and to myself, I refused to ever go there because I feel like the entire place is like death row, ya know? They're all gonna get gassed and get the chaair or whatever... makes me sad. And if I want to adopt one, and then don't i feel like it's still riding my conscience that "i coudl have given that kitten a life! He could be dead now!". So I hated it. Cuz I always wanted to adopt all the cats and some of the dogs and ok... So I Finally decided ot go on Saturday. It was just one of those random things. I get there and kick it with the kittens they've got and then ended up adopting two. d'oh. They're so tiny, they're like 2 mo's and they play with everything and they're feisty and fun and all that shit. I couldn't resist. Then I wanted to adopt all of them, but the bastard staff wouldn't let me. Anyways, one doesn't get released until today. Then when I get it, I've got to waith until tomorrow to pick it up so they can do their vet thing. The other, I'm picking up today. Some of y'all have heard about the insane shit we do at my house, so having kittens is a bit scurry right now. I ha dot kittenproof the house today, hiding all the wires and picking up the bbs and anything that the cat could get in trouble in. hehe, but I'm really excited though. Just start watching the stress release posts, though. I'm sure there'll be a "THAT FUCKING CAT" post soon nuff.

I have a couple cats around as well. They'll have moments when they piss you off, but cats are independant enough to pretty much take care of themselves which is a great thing.

One's insane. The other's pretty playful.

I've had a cat before, but it's still at my parent's house. It's really theirs now, has been for years. He was evil. He loved people, so he'd stay aroudn them. but then when they'd start petting, he'd purr and purr... then take a finger and attack until he got shoved away. Does this incessantly.

I named the female Alkali, but I have yet to think up a creative enough name for the male. So far his name is dammit. That way I can say "Comme're, DAMMIT!"

Alkali? Any reason for that name? Nver heard it before. For the boy, how 'bout something like shit head or something because everyone knows boy cats are cooler and get in more trouble. My male cats name is Phil, pretty sweet.

How about you name him Kitty so you can be like "GADAMNIT KITTY!"(Cartman, Southpark) or name him something funny.

named my cat is called Axl (after Axl Rose) he's pretty much an arsehole of a cat but he's too cute to stay mad at. just don't name it 'cat' or something like that. that shits me.

I think he's going to end up being named "Lil' Bastard" both in honor of James Dean, and because that's all I've called him all night. Didn't get to bed until 4:00 AM, (NOT drinking... overworking) and finally get to bed and this little shit won't stop biting me. So I put him in his carrying case so I can get some sleep and he just bawls and bawls until I let him out, when he then proceeds to dive tackle my face a few dozen or so times inthe night and bite at my toes and hands and anything that moves. So I stick him in my bigass walk-in closet and he bawls until i let him out. then he goes back to biting.

Good luck kitten proofing the house, I tried that the day I got mine, he was calm for about a week. He ended up finding about 30 different things I didnt think twice about. Mines about 12 weeks old....hes up every day around 6-6:30am, sleeps all day, and stays up until about 2am. Count on not getting a lot of sleep and make sure to get one of those enclosed litter boxes, they make huge messes. Ill post pics of mine later, hes really cute

I have to admit though, as much of a man as I am, I love cats too. Cats are cool as fuck. Props for saving two kittens.
