Unhappy cold engine problem

Hi everyone.
I'm a new user and find this forum very helpful. Here is my problem: my 96 hatchback civic has 130,000 km and I never had any problem with it until 2 weeks ago. When I start the car and the engine is cold, everything go just fine. But when I drive it and push on the gaz pedal, the engine choke up and would probably stop if I wouldn't remove my foot on the gaz pedal. After few seconds, everything go back to normal. Of course if I let the car warm up, it is just ok. It never did this before and I was wondering if anyone has an idea of what might that be???

Thanks to all.

Ever check the antifreeze? And it shouldn't be too big of a problem just warm it up before you drive.

Yes. It has been changed few months ago. Today, it did "kind of STALL" while the engine was hot. It was the first time... So I decided to buy new gas filter, PCV valve , air filter, distributor and spark plugs. I will install all this tomorrow and see...

Thanks anyway.

Smile problem solved

I finally solved my problem by changing plugs + wires, distributor + rotor, PCV valve, air and gas filters.

No idea which one was the faulty but it is going great now.

Bye.
