Engine dies when warm - won't restart for 1 hour.

Hello all. Let me first start off by saying that I find this forum great. Thanks to everyone who contributes.

I have a 1999 GMC Sonoma 4.3 Liter V6, 2WD. My engine will cut out and die when it gets to normal operating temperature after about 15 minutes of driving. Does this consistently every day for last week. After cutting out will not start again until engine sits for at least 60 minutes and cools down. After engine dies I'm getting spark and fuel pump turns on sometimes but not always. No codes.

12 months ago replaced alternator, ignition switch, PCM module, fuel pump relay. Last winter my water pump was leaking and that caused the coolant system to get corrodid and the engine almost overheated. Cleaned all hoses, reservoir and fushed out radiator and entire system. Also installed new water pump. 8 months ago replaced a transmission
valve body.

Just installed new ignition coil and that did not help. I have already tested a new crank sensor and Ignition Control Module and that did not help as well. I have heard this could be the oil pressure switch/sensor, coolant temp sensor, EGR Valve and all the things I have already tested.

for 2 months last summer I was out of a ride with "experts" trying to find the problem of my engine going nuts and dying randomly which turned out to be the ignition switch. I do not want to suffer thru that again. Any help would be a blessing. Thank you in advance for your help.

PS... I had a 92 s10 v6, paid $2500 for it and sold it for $500 6 years later with no problems whatsoever. I think I'm getting pushished for that now!

This isn't likely unless they modified something under the hood, or bolted on the wrong headers, but do a google search on Vapor Lock and it might help explain your problem and tell you how to fix it.

The no codes is a stumper, but the symptoms sound like a possible plugged egr valve.
