Re: headers
for the header pipes or collector pipe? is it going to be 4-1 or 4-2-1? Do you have a flow bench? how do you know that this will be any better than stock? How do you plan on making the face that bolts to the block?

Re: headers
4-2-1, i'll use four separate quarter inch plates to bolt to the block, and weld the header to that

One of my friends made a header for his 420a and he knows his shit. Should I ask him about it? My advice: dont use 4 separate pieces. What if they arent all on the same plane? I would measure everything out and make one piece for the tube to be welded to. Also, arent most header flanges 3/8"? Personally, I would just buy one. If you know what your doing, doing your own work can be fun, gratifying, and can save you some money, but it can be a pain in the ass as well.

Re: headers
my eclipse is a 1.8, and they dont make headers for that engine anymore. the reason is because there was no hp gain. i just want headers for the sound
