I have bendix 9 abs brake failure. I have read several posts concerning conversion to standard brakes versus gettind recall repair done at the dealer. I would like to have standard brakes for their ease of home repaire. YES I'M CHEAP!
What I need to know is--- what do I need to replace, as a minimum, to get standard power assisted brake function. Are there any special conciderations ect. to installation. Right now I have to stand with both feet on the brake pedal to get my newly aquired 90 CHEROKEE to stop. I WANT HER ON THE ROAD! Any help is much appreciated! |

Re: HELP! She's broke!
If there is a recall, it won't cost you anything to get done. Also XJ's have a habit of poor braking, I would do what you have to to keep the system operational, BRAKES are one thing you don't want to go CHEAP on. That whole life or death thing!
