My 02 explorer xlt @ 38K started making a ticking noise when I make a left turn. Now it's started when I make a right turn, tho not as bad. What in the world?????????????

Could either 1. Something could be in the steering (trash, tag, debris, etc) that makes that sound 2. wheel bearing could need to be repacked and when you turn it causes it to tick. 3. Could be some sort of electrical issue, my mother owned a jeep grand cherokee that made a noise when she turned left and it ended up being somehting electrical. 4. A problem thats not addressed here.

I would take it to a certified Ford mechanic and have him look at it.
