A/C problem 95 bonny

95 Bonneville, with climate control.

Can someone tell me how many "doors" are in the A/C.

I know of the air mix. (hot or cold air)

Is there a door which controls air flow too.

My new problem is my air ouput seems to be slow even with fan at full speed and "auto mode" off.. The fan seems to be running fine. Is there a door at the fan that may not be opening all of the way?

Thanks.

Hello,
I have a 92 and get the same thing, In another forum they talk about the evaporator core being filled up with dirt and years of other fun stuff. There is a way that you can clean this without alot of hassle, i just have't done it yet. I will give you the web site and do a search for evap cleaning. http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/

Good luck,
Sellncars

Re: A/C problem 95 bonny

There is a total of 4 air diverters for airflow direction but none for volume. The advice given above has shown to restore air volume but I don't hear of this problem very often. A more frequent problem is the airflow defaults to the defroster vents rather than the selected vents as a result of a vacuum loss. You are expecting it from say the dash vents but in reality it's coming out the defrost vents. Just check this quickly to verify that airflow is limited or just being directed somewhere else.

Along with the link that sellincars cas provided, you can also search here. I recall a core cleaning thread from several months ago.

Actually, here's a couple links from here:
