Clutch Problems...
im my cousins 97 spyder GS-T 5speed, we just fixed a problem with fitting the tranny , we started it and it ran good (didnt make squelling noise like last time) went to push the clutch and it was really stiff. also i pushed the pedal to the floor and the clutch wound not disconnect from the tranny. when ever i pushed the clutch to the floor it made this wrapping noise sort of a crunching....but the noise wasnt a "fast noise" what ever was making it sounded like it was moving at 10 RPM... so we blead the clutch , the clutch felt normal but it still woulnt disengauge ...
am i gonna have to un-do all this work agian or am i missing somthing ?please help!!! Thanks, Jake Jeske

Re: Clutch Problems...
if it's not disengaging properly...faulty t/o bearing maybe? i don't think it'd be a hydraulic problem if you already bled it. you say it feels normal, like when you push it in, is there resistance? it doesn't go straight to the floor if you rest your finger on it? if it does, then it more than likely would be a hydraulic problem...when you say "un-do all this work", did you replace the clutch yourselves? if so, you could have forgot something...did you make sure the pressure plate to flywheel bolts were all torques properly and to the right specs? 14lbs i believe. hope you didn't forget to put a t/o bearing on the fork....that would be bad. it won't disengage the clutch. i can't really think of much else right now cause i gotta run to my gf's, but good luck with everything. hope this helped you out some.

T/O bearing is brand new , so is the clutch and pressure plate...as for the clutch as soon as you bleed it its fine then when you start the car and try using it it sticks to the floor and then you pull it back up and its stiff agian...i personally didnt install the clutch , a very knowelgable dsmer did it....i was right there but i didnt personally put it on....also the motor was never touched or moved...only the tranny was messed with...
but it worked about a month ago and the car was never touched since then only when i fixed the tranny alignment did it mess up.... but thanks for everyone comments , keep em comming, Jake <--totally in the dark about what could be wrong....
