Window Motor 91 Camaro RS
Has anybody ever changed out a window motor for a 91 Camaro? I tried and it's not easy, the Chilton manual is misleading. Does anybody know if you actually have to drill a hole through the regulator lift arm and regulator gear and secure it with a bolt and nut for when you remove the motor (because of the tension on the counter spring)? I've seen the window motor site for a 95 Camaro, but it's not the same as a 91 Camaro. Can I take the regulator lift arm and motor out of the door panel still attached together or do I have to remove the motor? What about removing the regulator lift arm from the glass sash channel, is that easier done with the window motor removed?
The main question is do I have to secure the regulator gear before I remove the window motor? If there is anybody out there with experience with changing 82-92 window motors, you're help would be appreciated. Thank you! |

Re: Window Motor 91 Camaro RS
Ive changed a window motor in a 91 Camaro. The hard part is taking the stupid panel off then getting to the little screws that actually hold the motor down.......other wise I just took the old motor out and placed the new one in.
I have no idea what your talking about otherwise.
