Re: Show now go.!!!!!!

1) Take off the rice.
2) Hahn racecraft stage 2 turbo kit, opt for the FMIC, 275 crank HP. Not sure what that calculates out to be in WHP Im guessing 220-230 but Don't know. After that, you will need to build your block, 2k for good bottom end, not sure how much a NT head will run you, I'm guessing around 700. I would guess 1/4 times of mid-high 14's. You could do a custom turbo setup, save yourself some money if you do it right, but make sure you do ALL your research.

Lightbulb

Take your RS to shows as your show car. Now buy a turbo dsm with that 4k and start moding yourself your track car. I suggest 90 or 91 for under 2grand and then you have spending money on the car, be in 12 or 13's in no time. plus if your show car wins you money, thats just more money for your turbo'd dsm.

Re: Show now go.!!!!!!

Don't mod the engine of a DSM N/T. Just use that shit as a show car. Buy a 1g AWD DSM for cheap and mod the shit out of it as a track car.

With that much money, you should just get an AWD 1g for track. That 4g's wont last long in turbo'ing a NA car and an AWd 1g would be lots faster than a FWD show car.

The NT motors can make power, it's just expensive power. First, Jake has a sticky for turbocharging an NT 420a here. For another resource, it's worth checking out 2gnt, even if they don't like us. Jake is a true DIY'er, while the Hahn route supplies you with all the goodies, if you're willing to pay the premium.

The specific kit you listed has been posted about before recently, I recommend finding that post. More than 8ish psi will require a built bottom end. That's expensive. At the 8psi mark, as in the Hahn kit, which is pretty well regarded, you'll make 275 crank HP, like whathits said. I would be cautious spending this much money on a company that doesn't have the rep, and hasn't done the R&D Hahn and the other have. I don't believe anyone on this board has bought this setup, so there's no firsthand experience.

Here's Hahn's website: http://www.hahnracecraft.com/auto/eclipse/eclipse.htm

Your best bet is still buying a new, stock turbo'd car, but make the right choice if you do decide to turbo the NT.

As for the rice... I'm a ricer, and I say keep it. Well, except the clear rear lenses. But that's your call

Re: Show now go.!!!!!!

Just some things to think about. 2400 in the NT= 275crank, ~230 whp

Stock GST/X 210whp + 2400 = turbo upgrade, + bolt ons, then $500ish more for decent tuning = 300-350whp with good tuning.
